The FoodSafety HQ mobile app is where staff do the daily work — completing temperature, cleaning and delivery checks on a phone, even offline, with prompts and reminders keeping everything on track. Install it to the home screen and it works like a native app. Installing it Add FoodSafety HQ to the phone's home screen (Add to Home Screen on iPhone, Install app on Android) so it opens full-screen straight to the checks. Full steps are in Install FoodSafety HQ on Your Phone . Completing checks on the floor Open the app, choose the check, enter readings or tick off tasks, and save. Everything is timestamped against the staff member, so you always know who did what and when — no paper diary to chase. Working offline No signal in the cool room or back dock? Keep working — checks are saved on the device and sync automatically when the connection returns. The app shows an offline indicator and a "syncing" banner so staff know their work is safe. (Offline photo capture isn't queued yet.) Corrective-action prompts When a check fails — say a fridge over 5°C — the app prompts the staff member to record what they did about it, so the issue is handled on the spot, not forgotten. Reminders Turn on Reminders in the Profile tab to get push notifications for checks due, expiring items and open corrective actions — a gentle nudge so nothing is missed during a busy shift. Frequently asked questions Do staff need their own login? Yes — invite each team member so their checks are recorded against them. They set their own password from the invite link. See Inviting Team Members & Roles . Does the app work without internet? Yes. Staff can complete checks offline; text, temperature and checklist data save on the device and sync automatically when back online. Photo capture isn't queued offline yet. Is it a separate app to download? No. It's a Progressive Web App you add to the home screen from the browser — no App Store or Google Play download required. How do staff know what checks are due? The app shows the day's checks and, if reminders are enabled, sends a push notification for checks that are due, so staff don't have to remember the schedule.
