Step-by-step guide to your FoodSafety HQ account settings: update your profile and email, change your password, and control notification preferences.
Where to find your account settings Your account settings are where you control who you are on the platform, how you sign in, and which emails FoodSafety HQ sends you. Everything below lives in one place, so it only takes a minute to keep your details current. Sign in to FoodSafety HQ. Open Settings from the sidebar. Scroll to the section you want to change — Profile, Password, or Notifications. Tip: If you manage more than one venue, your account settings follow you across every site. You don't need to update them separately for each location. Update your profile information Your profile is the identity teammates see next to the checks and corrective actions you log. To update it: Open Settings from the sidebar. Edit your First name and Last name — this is the display name shown across the platform. Check your Email address. This is the address you log in with and where notifications are sent. Upload a profile image if you'd like a photo next to your name. Save your changes. Keeping names accurate matters for accountability: audit reports and activity logs reference the person who completed each task, so a clear, real name makes your records easier to read. Change your password Change your password regularly, and immediately if you think someone else knows it. To set a new one: Go to Settings . Enter your current password to confirm it's you. Enter a new password of at least 8 characters. Re-enter it in the confirm field so the two match. Click Save . Choose something long and unique that you don't reuse on other sites. If you've forgotten your password and can't sign in, use the forgot password link on the login page to reset it by email. Control your email notifications Notifications keep you across compliance without having to open the app all day. You choose which ones reach your inbox: Daily digest — a once-a-day summary of your venue's compliance status, ideal for managers who want a morning snapshot. Corrective action alerts — an email whenever a new corrective action is raised, so problems get owned quickly. Training reminders — prompts about upcoming or overdue staff training and certifications. Turn on the alerts that match your role and switch off the rest. To change them, open Settings , adjust each notification toggle, and save. Tip: Owners and managers usually keep the daily digest and corrective action alerts on. Floor staff often only need training reminders — less inbox noise, more signal. Requesting account deletion There's no self-service delete button, which protects your compliance history from being wiped by accident. If you need to close an account, contact our support team and we'll handle the request. Your data is retained for a limited period afterward so you can export anything you need, in line with our terms of service and privacy policy . Keeping your account secure A few small habits keep your account and your compliance records safe: Use a real, unique password that you don't reuse elsewhere, and update it if a device is lost or a staff member with access leaves. Keep your email current. Because password resets and important notices go to your login address, an out-of-date email can lock you out. Give people their own logins. Rather than sharing one account, invite team members individually so every check is attributed to the person who did it. Related help Looking to change your subscription rather than your profile?
